When Sue Markham decided to bring a puppy home from the shelter, she had no idea what a surprise she was in for. Robert Markham wasn't particularly enthusiastic about the thought of a new dog, but thankfully, he accepted the idea. In the end, Sue Markham brought a Jack Russell terrier home, and she was elated.

The Markhams named the pup Yogi Bear, but he didn't remain a small pup for long. He began to grow, and it quickly became apparent that he was actually a Boston Great Dane instead of the Jack Russell terrier they had been informed of. Although this was quite a surprise to them, the Markhams have adapted to their pet and now lavish him with love and attention.

Weighing approximately 200 pounds and standing 6 feet tall from nose to tail, Sue Markham's Great Dane, Yogi Bear, has become a beloved part of her life. "I remember thinking 'How much trouble can a Jack Russell be?'", she shared with the Daily Mail. By the time he was five months old, Yogi Bear towered above every Jack Russell at the park, his tongue happily lolling from his mouth and his tail resembling a baseball bat. Despite his size, Yogi Bear doesn't let it stop him from having fun. He even has a canine companion, Toffee, who loves nothing more than curling up and relaxing with him.

The Markhams weren't expecting to have such a large dog, but Yogi's size has come with a hearty appetite. Each month, the family spends $235 on food for their beloved pup, and Yogi loves his scrambled eggs and sausages. Despite the surprise, the Markhams are thankful they chose Yogi!
