Man Beats Tiny Yorkie to Death for Vomiting in His Car!

A Florida security guard has been arrested after law enforcement officials state he brutally attacked a small Yorkshire terrier, weighing less than 10 pounds, until its death. Furthermore, Miami Beach police believe Sigman Hernandez's fit of rage was triggered when the animal vomited in his car. On the evening of April 7, an employee of a Publix grocery store located nearby discovered the Yorkie in a parking garage, believing it to be dead. As per the police report, officers who arrived on the scene noted that the dog was still alive but had a severely swollen belly.

As officers carried the ailing canine to an emergency veterinary clinic, she would periodically emit "moans of pain" as noted in the police report. An X-ray uncovered that on one side, the dog had seven broken ribs with even more broken on the other. The veterinarians told law enforcement that the dog, whom authorities labeled Lily, had bloodshot eyes and thoracic swelling that implied she had also been strangled. Despite the valiant effort of the vets, Lily's life hung in the balance for two days, yet they were not able to save her.

Police reported that Hernandez was identified from surveillance footage revealing him entering the Publix garage, where he was employed as a security guard. On Wednesday, Hernandez surrendered to police and confessed to "slapping and potentially choking his dog since she had regurgitated in his car," according to a police report. Additionally, Hernandez allegedly confessed to taking the dog out of his car and leaving her in the parking garage. He is now facing a charge of animal cruelty and was released from jail on Thursday morning after posting bond.

Upon his release from incarceration, WKMG enquired of Hernandez if he had caused any harm to his canine companion; to which Hernandez responded, "No."
